February 2024

Have you seen enough Workflows by Ronna content to be intrigued yet? I thank you for already subscribing to this newsletter, and I hope you’re connecting with me on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. And I hope we’ve connected enough that you’re wondering: How does this all work?

To start, fill out my contact form and we’ll talk for just 30 minutes in a free consultation during which I’ll pepper you with thoughtful questions so that I get an understanding of your needs. Expect questions about:

  • Your priorities

  • Pros and cons of your current system (if you even have one, and if you don’t, no judgment!)

  • Pain points and hurdles to minimize

  • Goals

Then, we’ll do a lot of framework building together. The process looks like this:

  • Build off the identified needs to proceed in either:

    • Building a repeatable Workflow off a system you have in place

    • Customizing a Workflow from scratch, incorporating the pieces of your project/event/role, plus the deadlines and ownership of tasks

  • Work 1:1 in a collaborative process via Zoom, or in person for Chicagoland clients (if you prefer in person). Steps include:

    • brainstorm/brain dump

    • strategic, customized build for the way you think and work, incorporating thoughtful, useful, paced deadlines

    • training

    • updating

    • accountability check-ins

There you have it! I will work with you and for you to make Workflows fit your needs.

And, it’s important to know that I am industry agnostic. I don’t have to know your business to help you be more efficient in it. The Workflows by Ronna process takes the details of your industry and business into account and will incorporate them as we learn about how they affect your productivity.

Are you ready to make yourself more efficient? Let’s get that 30-minute conversation on the calendar.

My Favorite Things

Two things to know about me: I spend a decent amount of time in my car commuting, and I thrive on the consumption of useful information. So, you might guess that I love listening to podcasts!

A few highlights from one of my favorites, The Lazy Genius podcast:

  • Kendra Adachi’s motto is to “be a genius about things that matter and lazy about the things that don’t.” That’s a perspective that might feel tough for those of us who likely say yes too often and feel the need to do it all, but I just love the overall philosophy.

  • She discusses the pillars of time management and how important it is to figure out what “all” means if you’re going to attempt it ALL. It’s critical to make priorities, to decide what’s most important.

  • One of my absolute favorite approaches to work, life and projects is to avoid being a firefighter. Sure, there are always unexpected blips to deal with, but the Lazy Genius says that when you strategically plan, fewer things become urgent and life becomes less stressful.

  • Give the podcast a listen and try to take action on an element Kendra suggests that resonates with you. Making small changes can deliver big results, and in this case, free up time and energy for other things.

What I’m Thinking About

Since I work with so many people and different organizations, and since Workflows are all custom crafted, there is so much to learn! The process I go through with clients is incredible and provides amazing insights. In this space, each month I’ll share takeaways to make your life and job easier. (Get the theme? I’m gonna make your life easier, and you’ll be happier.)

Sit with this for a minute: “Stop saying yes to shit you hate.”

Right? Peloton’s Robin Arzon said this recently, and I can’t stop thinking about it. After all, being productive is important, but so, too, is doing things you enjoy.
